Come Home to Windsor Reunion September 28, 2008

Sunday, September 28th brings DFAW’s Come Home to Windsor reunion and annual meeting starting at noon at the Oliver Ellsworth Homestead. We’ll have lots of activities celebrating our 25th “birthday,” and we hope Descendants and their families and friends from all over the country will be on hand.

Windsor 375 Anniversary Parade September 27

On Saturday, September 27th beginning at noon, Windsor hosts its big 375 Anniversary Parade, stepping off at noon from the Sage Park/Windsor High School complex and progressing through Windsor center. Be sure to watch for DFAW’s float! This is sure to be a wonderful parade, and we hope you’ll be there to enjoy it!

Founders Day Observance September 26, 2008

On Friday, September 26th at 6:00 p.m., DFAW will lead a Founders Day Observance on Palisado Green, followed by a social and refreshments at the Windsor Historical Society. This will be a great time to meet “cousins” and enjoy a time of fellowship together as we kick off a weekend of celebration.

2008 is Windsor's 375th Birthday

This year marks the 375th birthday of Windsor, Connecticut's oldest town. We’re anticipating many out-of-town DFAW members -- as well as many descendants of Windsor’s founding families who aren’t members -- to be on hand for at least some of the Windsor 375 events and are working hard to provide a number of ways for fellow Descendants to meet their cousins. Watch this blog for information as it becomes available.
