IMPORTANT: CHANGE TO SPRING PROGRAM SCHEDULE

Our Spring Program speaker, Chris Pagliuco, has a family activity that he needs to attend on Saturday afternoon. Accordingly, his presentation will begin at 10:00 a.m. rather than 10:30. Also, the nearby Simsbury Genealogical & Historical Research Library will be open on Saturday; Spring Program attendees will have the opportunity to visit it in the afternoon.

ALL NERGC FEATURED SPEAKER WORKSHOPS ARE NOW SOLD OUT!

All of the NERGC 2019 Featured Speaker Workshops (T-133 Third Party Tools with Blaine Bettinger; F-154 Crafting Searches with Cyndi Ingle; and S-154 Evidence & Conflict with Thomas Jones) are now SOLD OUT and are closed to additional registrations. Additional workshops are getting close to full. To avoid disappointment or frustration at the conference, don't wait until the last day of "Early Bird" (February 28) to register for remaining optional Workshops and meals. Due to room capacities, optional Workshops (additional cost above the Conference registration fee) have participation limits. Waiting may result in your Workshop of choice not being available. Thank you for your understanding!

TWO NERGC FEATURED SPEAKER WORKSHOPS ARE NOW FULL

Two of the NERGC Featured Speaker workshops are now full and closed to additional registrations. Even the waitlists are full! Three other workshops are almost full as well. To avoid disappointment when trying to register for remaining NERGC workshops and meals, don't put off registering for the conference until just prior to the February 28 Early Bird Deadline.

ED STRICKLAND TO SPEAK AT NEW ENGLAND REGIONAL GENEALOGICAL CONFERENCE

Edwin W. Strickland II will be representing DFAW at the upcoming 15th New England Regional Genealogical Conference (NERGC) Session S-114, "Land Records: More than Metes the Eye" on Saturday, April 6 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Ed is a self-taught genealogist with over 40 years’ experience. He is a Charter member of the Descendants of the Founders of Ancient Windsor, is a Past President, and has served as Genealogist for nearly 30 years; is currently a Governor of the Connecticut Society of Genealogists and is a Past Vice President and Past President; and is a Charter member of the Connecticut Professional Genealogists Council, for which he is a consultant for their Ancestors Road Shows. Registration for the “full conference” — Thursday, Friday, and Saturday — is $125 before February 28, 2019; $155 after March 1, 2019. Sessions start on Thursday, April 4, 2019. The 2019 Conference will also feature many activities on Wednesday, April 3 at additional cost including DNA Day, Librarians Day, Professionals Day, Society Day, Tech Day, Military Day, and a tour of several southern New Hampshire research facilities.
